| I am Anita Moore, formerly White (of White Wizzards Rabbitry). I first started raising rabbits in 1987 when a mixed
dwarf was given to me as a gift. The first breed I raised and showed
was Netherland Dwarfs in Sable Martin, and Siamese Sable. Hollands
caught my eye in 1988 so I switched and sold all the Dwarfs at that
time. I still love Hollands but did get a bit bored with Tort so I
found Sable Point, Siamese Sable and a Steel to work with as well. In 2000 I had moved to Minnesota and found Lionheads! My first purchase of them was is 2001 with the first colors being Chocolate and Black. Soon after I purchased stock from Gail Gibbons and the late Bob Whitman. I moved back to Indiana in 2003 and brought the bunnies with me. In 2005 I went through rough times with diagnosis of Scleroderma and RA. It and my personal life caused me to choose to get out of bunnies in the fall of 2006. I am happy to say that though I still have these diseases, I am doing better at coping with them. By the Spring of 2008, I missed my rabbits, and was in a position to get a small herd together once again. I started out with just the Lionheads with the help of my good friends Jeremy & Becky Armstrong. In the past year, I have pulled a Lionhead COD in the varieties of Black, Chestnut, Chinchilla, Chocolate Chestnut and Squirrel. I have also started a collaborative Holland Lop herd with a good friend and am starting to dabble in making a few Lionlops. I have been raising bunnies for over 20 years and have enjoyed them dearly. More importantly I have met so many good people along the way. Coming back has allowed me make new friends in the rabbit world and to see old friends too!
